TUSTIN - It may sound like someone doesn’t have their ducks in a row, but today a local alpaca - not a groundhog - will determine whether Michigan will have an early spring.

This photo represents our future. The children of today will be responsible for the alpacas of tomorrow. This young girl is learning to be passionate about these animals. Eventually, she will learn about the value of the alpacas, the importance of genetics, body composition and microns. Right now, she just knows and loves the animals for their peaceful nature, their big trusting eyes, their curious personalities.
